Prof Arindam Biswas is an accomplished academician and researcher with over 22 years of experience in the field of information technology. He is currently serving as an Associate Professor in the Department of Information Technology at Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology, Shibpur, India. Prof Biswas completed his Bachelor of Engineering from Jadavpur University, Kolkata, India, and went on to pursue his Master's and Doctorate degrees in Computer Science from Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata. He has a strong research background in digital geometry, image processing, approximate shape matching and analysis, medical image analysis, and biometrics. Throughout his career, Prof Biswas has contributed significantly to the field of information technology. He has published over 100 research papers in international journals, edited volumes, and refereed conference proceedings. He also holds one US patent. Prof Biswas has held several leadership positions in the past, including Head of the Department at Dept. of IT, IIEST Shibpur and Director at Purabi Das School of Information Technology. His educational background includes schooling from Narendrapur Ramkrishna Mission and Sargachi Ramkrishna Mission, in addition to his higher education degrees. Prof Biswas is a skilled researcher and has a deep understanding of image processing and its applications. He has worked extensively as a Research Scientist and has a strong technical background. His expertise in the field of information technology makes him a valuable asset to any organization.
